"Murder, Murder It's a Right Scare"

Fortunately not for our production of Jekyll and Hyde. This year STC have been lucky enough to work with a team of trained fight choreographers and stunt men to help us with our most violent and dramatic scenes. Creator of Stagefight, Raph Aldis, personally choreographed each action sequence, from simple bar fight to violent murder.

"A good stage fight can be the highlight of a scene or the exciting climax of a show. Performed properly a stage fight can bring an audience to the edge of its seats, leave them stunned into silence, have them rolling in the aisles or cheering for more."

The Stagefight team joined the whole of the company for a lesson in basic stage combat. Along with perfecting the simple slap we were each taught how to perform a realistic bar room brawl including punches, kicks and hair pulling in a safe and professional way.

Director of the show Andrew Wilson - Jenner said "The effect this training is going to have on the show will be amazing. It is crucial that everyone in the company understands the techniques and timing involved for their own safety. The visual impact this choreography sends the show to a whole new level and we all are thrilled with the results achieved."

Stagefight run courses and workshops all over the United Kingdom, which are available to everybody, ranging from stage fights to extreme stunts including weapons.
